Responsible for developing strategic relationships and alliances with key client decision makers within the Oil and Gas markets through direct sales with new and existing clients.. Will be responsible for developing marketing plans/approaches for new clients and opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Conducts direct sales with new and existing Oil and Gas clients.
Cultivates, develops and establishes business relationships with key decision makers in the Oil and Gas Markets.
Partners with senior operations personnel at Borton-Lawson to develop, target and implement client development strategies focused on specific clients in the Oil and Gas Sector.
Works closely with Client Managers, Client Service Teams, Discipline Managers, Project Managers and Business Unit Leaders to ensure that client requirements and schedules are satisfactorily being met.
Identifies partnering opportunities that will enhance Borton-Lawson’s opportunities to expand services within the Oil and Gas Sector.
Becomes active in various professional organizations/societies within the Oil and Gas community to foster interpersonal relationships and a better understanding of issues related to the Oil and Gas community.
Participates in Trade Shows and Seminars focused on the Oil and Gas Sector to enhance Borton-Lawson’s reputation within the Sector.
Serves as a business development and client service management coach to client managers, project managers and others within Borton-Lawson.
May serve as Client Manager (key point of contact) for specific clients.
Responsibility to supervise proposal development, putting together sales presentations, and other types of marketing material for client specific pursuits and new service line developments.
Language:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies or members of the community.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, or the general public.
Mathematical:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Education/ Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as engineering, geology, or environmental science or the equivalent comparable experience garnered from working in these types of industries. Requires a minimum of 15 years of sales and client development experience in the engineering or construction services industries. Good listening, communication and consensus building skills. Experience working on and with teams. Marketing internally and externally and conducting cold calls.
Anticipated Working Conditions:
Work is primarily performed in a professional office environments with office client visits and travel.
