Job Summary:
Responsible for leading the client/business development efforts of the Transportation Market Sector for the firm. Identifies, tracks and leads the marketing efforts with existing and future Transportation clients. Develops the marketing strategy for penetrating the Transportation market for all locations of the firm. Responsible for establishing the marketing approach/direction and the marketing plan for the Transportation Sector. Charged with establishing and leading the Transportation Sector Marketing processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for developing, in conjunction with Business Unit Leaders, sales goals for the Transportation Market sector
Works with and supports business unit leaders, discipline leaders, and project managers to ensure client satisfaction
In conjunction with the Transportation Business Unit Leader and Project Managers, is the key contact with Transportation Market clients
Is recognized by clients as the responsible leader and the firm’s technical specialist in the Transportation Market
Responsible for developing and conducting client satisfaction vehicles/surveys to monitor and measuring Borton-Lawson’s reputation and position in the Transportation Market
Provides assistance and support to the Transportation Business Unit Leader in areas such as A/R, project scope issues or supplemental agreement issues
Functions as the Proposal Leader on large business pursuits within the Transportation Market Sector
Develops relationships with teaming partners and sub-consultants in order to enhance the firm’s ability to win projects
Provides timely reporting to management on potential business pursuits, project wins and status of proposals that have been submitted
Language:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret information in the field.
Capable of writing reports, proposals and business correspondence, as well as effectively present information and respond to questions from team members.
Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to meet time sensitive deadlines.
Reasoning:
Ability to apply common sense understanding and to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Capable of dealing with issues or concerns in a professional manner through the proper chain of command.
Ability to multi-task within several established deadlines.
Education/ Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business Administration and 10+ years of Professional Services/Consulting industry experience. Registration/Licensure is highly desirable. Requires experience and understanding in the qualification based selection processes. The incumbent must be a self-starter, who is used to taking initiative, and who can deliver a completed quality product independently.
Anticipated Working Conditions:
Work is primarily performed in a professional office environment with interactions with clients. Job requires occasional travel and attendance at company functions, clients, or agencies for marketing purposes.
