Job Summary:

Perform engineering work relating to the design, construction, and operation of civil projects.  Determine the scope of the work involved and plan, conduct, and supervise the engineering work of the project team.  Provide expertise, which may involve the adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.  Provide engineering expertise to other individuals and work groups within the firm as requested.

  • Based on needs criteria established by review agencies, clients, government agencies, vendors, utilities, contractors, or other governing parties, perform all or specialized construction design related work. These projects may be characterized by unique or complex circumstances
  • Coordinate engineering efforts with State and Federal regulatory agencies.  Insure that any necessary public notification, informational meetings, or other community contact are made and all necessary regulations are satisfied.
  • May work with Project Managers on the following:Scoping, estimating, and contract preparation; Bi-monthly monitoring of job progress and profitability; Coordination of sub-consultant work; Detailed design recommendations
  • Work with the Project Manager and clients in a way which will promote the goals of teamwork, client satisfaction, continual improvement, and profitability.
  • Prepare reports and specifications, make meeting presentations as required, and obtain client and regulatory approvals as necessary.

    Job Requirements:
    Bachelor's in Civil Engineering. Four years experience or the equivalent thereof with familiarity in land development processes.
