Borton-Lawson was pleased to join PennDOT and elected officials, including PennDOT Secretary Leslie Richards, at the ribbon cutting to officially open Navy Way Road in Luzerne County. Borton-Lawson worked on the project along with the prime consultant, Gannett Fleming.
Large trucks coming from Interstate 81 will now be able to use the new Navy Way Road to access the two industrial parks nearby.
The alignment of Navy Way Road passes through the tight spacing of the structural towers of the FAA’s light navigation system, traverses a deep ravine, climbes over the PA Turnpike, under PP&L high tension power lines, and then connects to a local road at a location that avoids a railroad crossing impact.
