Borton-Lawson Welcomes King’s College Students

Borton-Lawson had the pleasure of hosting a group of sophomores and juniors from King’s College who are majoring in mechanical and civil engineering. This event gave us an opportunity to provide some insight on the various industries within engineering and demonstrate how a consulting engineering firm operates.

The visit began with a warm welcome and tour of the office lead by Borton-Lawson’s Vice President, Pat Endler. The students were then introduced to several key members of our staff from Highway, Buildings, Industrial, Land Planning & Development, Energy, and Immersive Virtual Navigation. Each member discussed the range of services their disciplines provided and touched on some of the projects they were involved in. The event was concluded with an open discussion about the different careers in engineering, as well as fielding any questions the students had.

Thank you to all participants for making this a great success and a special thank you to King’s College for giving us a chance to highlight what we love to do!
