GNA Career Forum

Our very own Dave Yefko spoke to the students at the Greater Nanticoke Area School District for Career Day about engineering.  The students had nothing but positive comments on his presentation and has already been invited to the event next year.

The following are some of the comments about what they learned:

  • I learned that in Engineering you can build different things and I think it is something I am interested in doing it.
  • That there is a lot to being an Engineer like picking what kind of Engineer you want to be and getting the right education to become an Engineer.
  • In engineering I learned that bridge engineers have to crawl through mud to get the weight limit for bridges.
  • I learned that being a engineering you need to know what you’re doing because if you don’t, you won’t know what to do and you need to know what to do to have this kind of job.
  • I learned about how engineers build roads and bridges.

Thank you, Dave, for your commitment to our community and helping to mold our future engineers!
