Borton-Lawson performed civil, environmental and survey services that included the rebuild of a single 69kV transmission line over a nine mile project right-of-way. The reconstruction of this line required removal of the early century existing conductors and structures and replacing them with steel mono poles and new conductors.
Permits obtained for this project include:
Challenge Original line location made siting of the new facilities difficult due to the lack of available suitable topography and existing records available.
SolutionUtilized advanced survey equipment to provide accurate 3D survey results that allowed for efficient documentation of the existing facilities.
Solution Utilized 3D software to enhance the layout of the transmission structures to take advantage of the natural landscape and allow for modern construction techniques, which reduced costs and schedule.
