The Bear Creek Commons development converted approximately 12 acres of previous office and warehouse property to a multi-tenant commercial property in a bustling business district. Due to challenging grades on the site, Borton-Lawson proposed to develop the property on two tiers with 12,000 S.F. total of restaurant space and 27,400 S.F. total of retail space. As a final phase of development, a 124 unit hotel was also built on the upper tier of the site.
Challenge Increased traffic volume as a result of the development.
Solution Borton-Lawson designed and obtained PennDOT permits.
Challenge Challenging stormwater management.
Solution Control and monitoring systems were used underneath parking lots to maximize space.
