Challenge Aged drinking water infrastructure that supplies approximately 400,000 gallons per day to service area. Existing 100 year old in ground concrete reservoir to store treated drinking water, and associated aged pumping and chemical treatment system required replacement to improve reliability, meet current design standards and regulatory requirements.
Solution Borton Lawson worked with the Borough of Freeland Municipal Authority to design, permit and provide construction services to construct a new 125,000 gallon glass lined carbon steel ground storage tank, new 400 gallon per minute (gpm) distribution pumps, and associated chemical metering equipment and new pump building, to meet current regulatory and design standards.
